Pain we treat

Find your problem. Each page explains what usually causes it, whether surgery is usually needed, and what Dr. Kiruthika does instead.

How a visit works

Four steps, usually across two visits.

1

Consultation

History, examination, and any scans or reports you already have. Not every pain needs an MRI; Dr. Kiruthika will say if one is needed.

2

Ultrasound assessment

The joint, tendon or nerve is examined on screen during the same visit, so the exact structure causing the pain is identified before anything is treated.

3

Targeted procedure

Image-guided, in a day-care procedure room, under local anaesthesia. You go home the same day.

4

Follow-up plan

Rehabilitation, a review date, and what to expect over the following weeks.

Do I actually need surgery?

Seven questions, under two minutes. It will not diagnose you — it will tell you what most patients with your pattern of pain are offered first, and whether anything in your answers needs urgent attention.

Procedures

Image-guided, day-care procedures Dr. Kiruthika performs — PRP, BMAC and SVF regenerative therapy, ultrasound-guided and epidural injections. Which one suits you is decided at your consultation.

Common questions

Is an injection just a temporary fix?

It depends on the injection. Some injections settle inflammation for weeks to months; regenerative therapy such as PRP and BMAC aims for longer-lasting change by supporting the tissue itself. The consultation is where the right option for your problem is chosen.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly. If you have been seeing an orthopaedic surgeon or physician, bring their notes.

Will I be admitted?

No. All procedures are day-care. You are observed for a short period afterwards and go home the same day.

Are the procedures painful?

They are done under local anaesthesia, with light sedation where needed. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain, and soreness for a few days afterwards.

Is this covered by insurance?

Day-care procedures are covered by many policies; consultations and some regenerative procedures usually are not. The clinic can help you check your policy before a procedure.

When is surgery the right answer?

When there is progressive weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, a complete tendon or ligament tear in an active person, or a joint that has worn to bone on bone with disability. Dr. Kiruthika will say so plainly and refer you.
